Cesar’s Way Review

Thursday, December 18th, 2008

Cesars WayCesar’s Way by Cesar Millan is a good reference book to have on hand.

It explains the mind of the dog excellently. Once you understand what and how your dog is thinking and feeling, then you can use that in your training for maximum impact and success!

I would suggest people learn his methods of exercise, discipline, and affection for living with dogs. But I cannot recommend that everyone follow his methods. Some are dangerous for the average human to follow. You have to have an excellent understanding of dog body language and complete control over your thoughts and feelings at all times in order to follow through with some of the techniques.

But, Cesar Millan’s teachings on dog psychology will teach you lots on what makes your dog a dog first and foremost!

Learn what makes your dog tick with Cesar’s Way.

Canis Clicker Training Review

Thursday, December 18th, 2008

Canis Clicker Training gives you a different method when it comes to training your dog.

Clicker training has been around for quite some time, but not too many dog training books are dedicated to this method. Probably the reason being is that it sometimes takes a bit longer than the show the dog method of training. Not all dogs will take to clicker training, though. If a dog is keen to it, then sometimes the training goes much faster than the other more traditional methods.

But watching a dog working along with clicker training is a sight to see. With clicker training, the dog has to think for himself and figure things out and you will see a dog working out the training with enthusiasm. But again, not all dogs want to think that much . . .

Canis Clicker Training

Some of the things you will learn with this clicker training guide are:

What clicker training really is
A dog’s view of positive and negative reinforcement
How to effectively reinforce
Using alternative reward markers
Target training
Teaching reliable cues
Backchaining
Training plans for 30 behaviors
and more!

If your dog is a thinker and likes to figure things out by himself, then your dog might really enjoy clicker training.

Learn the proper way to clicker train with Canis Clicker Training.
